Our Kids Were Struggling With Math So We Started OVER!
Over the past few years we have tried a number of different math curriculum including workbooks, manipulative, online lessons, math games for middle school, math songs, and more. Nothing seemed to help!
Although my kids enjoyed math when they were younger, somewhere along the line things just didn’t “click” any longer and they began struggling with middle school math in our home school.
Earlier this year we started to map out a plan for high school level coursework and my anxiety level around finding an appropriate math program really began to rise. During one of my searches for new ideas I came across a math program called “Learn Math Fast.”
Learn Math Fast System
As I read the description for Learn Math Fast I felt like someone finally understood our situation. It was as if I was having a discussion with a fellow homeschool mom about our math dilemma!
The reason for this level of understanding is because a homeschool mom who successfully used this math system to address the needs of her own family is the author of Learn Math Fast. The math lessons in this program are practical, straightforward, and make a lot of sense to my boys.
If you are anything like us and are really beginning to worry if your children will ever “get math”, I encourage you to take some time to get to know the Mergens family and the Learn Math Fast system.

I never thought I would admit that we started math again from the beginning! We decided to work our way through a complete review of math and we are very glad we did. Both of my children are progressing quickly through the program, they finally understand the material, and their confidence has improved dramatically.
My children tell me all of the time that Learn Math Fast makes sense because the problems and examples apply to real life. Money is used to help explain many concepts such as decimals and fractions, and the word problems are statements that could actually happen!
If your kids are successful with their current math program then I encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. If, however, you are feeling like you are the only one with kids who “don’t get it” and dread math assignments each day, then know that you are not alone.
