Summer Mixed Media Workshop

Tweens will have a lot of fun with this summer mixed media workshop.

With longer days and lighter course loads (if any), summer is the perfect time to focus on art.

This e-course will allow you to work on 20 different mixed media projects in your own home. Alisha will walk you, step-by-step, through each project. In fact, she does such a good job, that my older kids complete most of the art pieces on their own.

I love having a plan for art that I don’t have to create.

We’ve taken part in two previous ones and I can tell you that we look forward to a new batch of projects each season.

Summer Mixed Media Workshop

What will you learn during the Celebrate Summer: Mixed Media Workshop for Kids?

During the course, tweens will work on the following art mediums:

  • Sketching
  • Acrylic painting
  • Watercolor painting
  • Chalkboard art
  • Collage art
  • Sculpting
  • Hand lettering
  • Art journaling

Worried about finishing it all before the end of summer? Don’t worry. Your access to the lessons will never expire, so you can work at your own pace!

Why Should Kids Take an Art Class During Summer Vacation?

Taking an art class over summer break can be a great way for kids to explore their creative side and learn something new.

Art classes give kids the chance to express themselves through different mediums, such as painting, drawing, and sculpting. Not only do they learn how to use these materials, they also gain insight into things like color theory and design principles.

In addition to being a creative outlet, kids build valuable life skills while working on art projects. By engaging in the creative process, they learn how to think imaginatively and problem-solve in a new way.

Benefits of the Celebrate Summer Art Workshop

There are many benefits to adding this course to your summer plans.

Program is Easy to Use

The video lessons are simple to navigate and understand. It’s easy to find everything you need to complete a project.

All the projects include a detailed supply list and a printable template that will make sure your design looks like the original.

The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow, so children can move at their own pace. We loved the fact that we could pause the video to make sure we were on the right path.

My girls never felt lost when we worked on these mixed media projects.

Innovative Projects

The artwork in these online art classes are unique, designed specifically for older children. Instead of just painting a picture or drawing a sketch, kids can create a masterpiece with mixed media.

For example, they’ll learn how to make collage art or combine recycled materials with watercolors into a summer-themed painting. It encourages kids to use their imagination and think outside the box.

Low Prep

When you give kids access to an eCourse like this one, it takes the planning off your shoulders.

Enrollment in a workshop eliminates the need for you to plan individual art projects to keep your tweens motivated and learning. It makes it super easy to add art to your schedule.

Summer-Related Art Projects

There are 20 different art projects included and they all fit the theme of summer.

Things like:

  • citrus fruit
  • fairies
  • summer flowers
  • backyard fun
  • insects
  • ice cream
  • a seahorse and more

They all reflect a different aspect of summer, so tweens will want to make a few.

  1. That sounds awesome! We’re currently working on 100 days of art this summer and I have to say coming up with 100 art projects and craft ideas that my boys are WILLING to do has not been as easy as I thought it would.
